Creating support, what does that look like? Friends, family, developing skills to support yourself.
Healing
What does it mean to heal? Healing is letting go of that which is not you or yours. Understanding emotions, belief systems, trauma’s, experiences. Understanding your preferences and being willing to let them go.
Empowerment
Having the confidence, healing and support to create what you want to manifest in your life and with your relationship in the world.
I created SHE back in the 1990’s while running one of my yoga centers in Northampton, Massachusetts, USA. It consisted of a safe space for groups of women who met weekly over a period of 6-8 weeks. We came together to share Support for each other, Healing in a sacred space and Empowerment to move forward in our lives. I loved this group and have kept these ideas and offered versions of SHE ever since. I have created a new and revised SHE and I am very excited about offering it now!
One area that many woman struggle with is self-love. How can I love myself, value myself and understand myself. How can I believe in myself, trust in my decisions and honor my choices? Do you find yourself feeling unworthy, guilty or compromising yourself for the benefit of others?
We join together to embrace ourselves as women through yogic and other spiritual perspectives. We seek to heal our past and creating a loving future.
Each session will meet on Zoom, the program will be more or less the same each week:
Opening Meditation (5 minutes)
Deep Rest: Relax in 1or more restorative pose or poses (15 minutes to 1/2 hour)
Teaching or Experience theme: This will vary, examples: (1/2 hour to 1 hour)

Dealing with difficult emotions
Meditations
Visualizations
Yogic teachings

Sharing in group or with others (15 minutes to 1/2 hour)
Closing Meditation (1 to 10 minutes)
Each week we will have a specific focus and we will also deeply rest in Restorative Yoga Poses and connect to ourselves through yoga asana, meditation, group experiences and pranayama.
Week One: Identifying my intension for my participation in this group. Making a commitment to myself.
Week Two: Understanding myself as a woman. My hormones, emotions, habit patterns and how to move into a healthier relationship with myself.
Week Three: Understanding myself as a woman looking at the 5 Yamas
Week Four: Understanding myself as a woman looking at the 5 Niyamas
Week Five: Setting an intension for where I want to go or what I want to create for myself. Looking at areas of my life that need attention.
Week Six: Working with my mind and using meditation and other tools to help me navigate my way
Week Seven: Boundaries what are they? Making choices that support me How do I set my own limits? Learning how to understand when they are needed and how to create healthy boundaries and choices that support me.
Week Eight: Integration, practice closing ritual and sharing.
