We all experience feelings of separation, anxiety, and restlessness at some point in our lives.
These can be transformed when we can connect within, through understanding and practices to cultivate inner peace and love.
Our desire to have and our wanting to obtain something outside of ourselves can be replaced with finding ways to create joy within. Craving for something material, which can go on for a day, or for weeks or years, once obtained, is often short-lived. When you have attained “it,” and the wanting ends, the enjoyment often fades away rather quickly.
Then this cycle repeats itself: desire, craving, having, and then— onto the next desire. I have experienced this cycle many times.
Now, I have minimized both the amount of things I buy and the amount of things that I have. Having done this, today I find greater fulfillment and joy in my relationships— with myself, with others, with food, with nature, with time, and with life.
This is a continual practice.
