The restorative yoga, workshops and trainings in the “Puja Method” are designed mainly for yoga and / or meditation teachers, but other professionals can also benefit from the teachings, nurses and mental, physical, or occupational therapists, physical education teachers or any other related sector within the field of health or personal growth.
This training is for professionals who wish to receive a complementary theoretical-practical training with which they can help and teach their students or patients techniques to achieve greater relaxation, stillness and deep inner peace, in addition to the physical benefits of the yoga practice.
In these trainings you will learn to guide students in the practice of restorative yoga, to help them release tensions and find harmony in their bodies and minds.
Clarity is offered on restorative yoga and its relationship with the 8 fold path of yoga, applications for different body types and how to approach both the emotional and the mental bodies in restorative poses.
All of this through personal and teaching practice combined with theory, reading, instructive lectures and much more.
The Puja Method immerses you in a variety of yoga practices that work physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically. Through these trainings you can experience a truly transformative and beneficial experience in both your professional and personal life.
The trainings are offered in a variety of countries and can be offered in Spanish, English or in both languages depending on the language of the participating students. We can always arrange for a translator so any language can take advantage of this training.
After almost 50 years practicing and almost 40 years teaching yoga and meditation, I have developed my own restorative yoga method: “The Puja Method of Restorative Yoga”.
It is a synthesis of what I have learned from many extraordinary teachers, from my own practice and my own exploration of my own body, mind and spirit.
The Puja method does not refer to restorative yoga as a new style or school of yoga. It is a selection of postures, that help the practitioner to explore deeper relaxation, inner stillness and peace.
It combines postures (asanas), props, conscious breathing (pranayama), hands on assists, relaxation, meditation and different techniques to calm the body and the mind.
In this training students are introduced to what the Puja Method of Restorative Yoga is, its history and the differences with other styles.
The relaxation response and the nervous system and in-depth knowledge of postures for different types and conditions of the body.
The use of props and simple assists in each of the postures are also taught.
The handling of variations for different concerns, how to work with emotions during practice, with an emphasis on understanding students and how to best serve them.
Finally you will learn about energy flow, supportive alignment, meditations, visualizations and the understanding of Restorative Yoga as a form of spiritual practice.
Learn to bring your students into a practice of restorative yoga that helps them
release layers of tension and feel at ease in their bodies. Sue Flamm offers clarity on Restorative Yoga and how it relates to the 8 fold path of yoga, variations for different body types, how to address the emotional body and the mental body in restorative poses. I have a special connection with nature. I love feeling the elements and taking the time and space to offer retreats in special places for my students.
I offer retreats as part of certain trainings in different locations, outside of the city. I also offer retreats periodically open to all students.
Retreats offer a way to connect with ourselves, practice yoga in a relaxed manner, meditate and experience our connection with nature and to others in places full of peace and tranquility.
I offer my retreats in wonderful locations in Spain but also have spectacular locations in other countries in Europe, the USA and beyond.
I hope to see you in my next retreat. It will be a pleasure to have you.
